Peace perfect Peace
What a wonderful peaceful hotel. The owners and staff were unbelievable, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spotlessly clean and tidied and cleaned freshly everyday. The food in the Rosebud Bistro was delicious and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious The local tavernas in Katelios which is about a 15 minute walk serve excellent food at various prices Can’t really say anything negative about the resort and we have already booked for next year. There is so much to see on the island and we just have to go and do some more exploring. Can’t wait. See you next year Nota Effi Alex Chris Nassier and Denis

Friendly and relaxing
We spent 11 nights at the Magnolia. The rooms are of a good size and were kept spotlessly clean. We particularly liked the electric blinds which kept the sunshine out in the early morning. Air con was good. The towels and bedding were changed probably every 3 days but certainly not longer than that. All of the staff were extremely friendly and always keen to ensure we were enjoying our holiday. The pool area is lovely. Never a problem with sunbeds and the pool was never crowded. The pool towels were exchanged when requested. We found the breakfast more than adequate especially for a hotel of this size. All in all we had a lovely peaceful stay at the Magnolia. Thank you to all of the staff who helped make our holiday so enjoyable.

Super, relaxing holiday!
We stayed at the Magnolia Resort for a week and it was our first visit to this hotel. It is a family run hotel which was spotlessly clean and well organised. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were well sized with balconies facing inland. The poolside area was large with plenty of comfortable sun loungers, which were available all day. The pool itself was kept very clean at all times. It was the perfect place to relax. We stayed on a variable board basis so had 4 evening meals in and 3 out in the week. That was a good arrangement to give us a chance to also sample some local restaurants nearby. The food was always delicious and service great. The snack bar by the pool was also just right for the middle of the day. The hotel is in a lovely, pretty location and…

Amazing holiday
We have just returned from this beautiful family run resort and what an amazing time we had. (apart from the forest fires which were near us). The hotel is clean and the facilities are spot on. Bedding is changed every other day, towels etc everyday, you are supplied with towels for your sun loungers which are changed after a weeks stay. The staff are so friendly, the bar staff even fetch your drinks to you around the pool. Bar food is delicious and the restaurant food is fabulous. I can't express what a fantastic place this is. We will definitely return.

Amazing holiday
We have just had the most amazing time at the magnolia resort, every aspect of the hotel was spotless. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble, they were always cheerful and professional.Like many people I checked reviews on the resort prior to booking, one of the main issues seemed to be related to breakfast which I found more than adequate, there were at least 3 types of bread every day,3 different cereals, fresh fruit, tinned fruit,Greek yogurt, bacon, scrambled egg, fruit juice etc,etc...My conclusion is,if you want a relaxing holiday, beautifully clean pool, peaceful surroundings and lots of gorgeous authentic Greek food then book the magnolia resort,,,,if you want a full English or pie and mash try blackpool

Magnolia hotel
Just returned from a fabulous week at the magnolia resort. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, our cases were taken to our room and we were accompanied by a staff member who showed us how everything worked. The rooms are spotless and were cleaned daily, our room was well situated with beautiful mountain views from the balcony. The pool area is lovely and there was always plenty of sun beds, the pool bar had a great menu and the drinks were reasonably priced, we also ate in the rosebud restaurant a couple of times, the food was tasty and again well priced. There are a couple of tavernas nearby as well as those down in the village which is around 10 minutes walk. We can’t say we had any issues with staff, the breakfasts or the pool towels and yes you…

The perfect hotel for relaxation
I went to this hotel as a retirement sunshine break to relax with my friend. It was just the perfect place for that. The atmosphere is very calm and easy, and I found everyone who works at the hotel to be very helpful and welcoming, Chris has a lovely cheery manor, and Nota and Effi always had time to ask how you were and have a little chat. The beds were so comfy, I had no trouble sleeping and the rooms were kept lovely and clean. We enjoyed eating at the hotel, both breakfast and evening meals were very tasty, I had sea bass on the first night, and couldn’t belief how cheap it was. This was my first time to Kefalonia and my breath was literally taken away by its beauty. We hired a car for a couple of days and I’m so glad we did, l will definitely return to the island

We've just had a fantastic week at the Magnolia in Katelios. The hotel staff are extremely helpful and pleasant and the evening meals although limited in choice are excellent quality with good service. The pool area and pool bar are the best we've ever had anywhere and there were always plenty of sunbeds available. It's a hotel we would certainly come back to.

perfect destination for peace and relaxation
Just stayed here for two weeks. PERFECTION!! Family run by three generations. Lovely man takes your cases to room. Rooms a great size with bed linen changed every other day. Pool towers could be changed daily. Hotel spotless in all areas. Pool beautiful, really friendly staff. Breakfast you could have fruit, yogurt, cooked, cereal, toast, pastries, cheese and cold meats. For lunch variety of toasties, omelettes, dips or pizzas very reasonable priced. 17 choices for main meals in evening on half board. very quiet and adult only without any entertainment! Bliss!! Katelios has a lovely beach used by many locals, small fishing harbour and we saw turtles swimming in there most days. About 12 different Taverners along the seafront and a few shops. Definitely fantastic for those…

A lovely week away
This hotel is perfect for people liking the idea of an adults only break, its also a perfect destination for a spotlessly clean and friendly hotel set 15 minutes walk (we timed it!!) from the small beachfront town of Katelois. The rooms are spaceous and comfy with good airconditioning. The breakfasts are fine and plentiful only if a little limited on variety, but this is Greece remember! All the bar staff are very friendly and the drinks prices are very reasonable. The poolside area is very inviting and the pool is warm enough to tempt you in. There are plenty of Tavernas nearby to persuade to take a small walk away from the hotel during the evening, a particular mention must go to Perusas (lovely food and atmosphere) and Jerrys which was also very welcoming and had an excellent…

First Class as usual !!!!!!
Our 3rd holiday in Kefalonia & 3rd time at The Magnolia. We wouldn't stay anywhere else, why would you, it's perfect. I've said it before, you can't please everyone but when people start getting personal about individuals it really winds me up !!!! People go back to The Magnolia year after year and why wouldn't you ? Nota, Effi and the boys are the perfect hosts so I really struggle with the negativity. The half board menu is somewhat limited - so go self catering, simple. The food has always been great. As for not enough breakfast choice, how much choice do you people want for god sake ?? The fantastic reviews out way the negative,we can't all be wrong ???
