Getting to Kefalonia
By boatTo reach Kefalonia from Athens, you can take a KTEL bus or your car in order to reach Patras within 2, 5 hours or Kyllini within 3, 5 hours. From there you will take a ferry in order to reach the island. There are daily itineraries, which are most frequent during the summer period. If you choose Patras, you will reach the port of Sami in 3, 5 hours, while from Kyllini you will reach the port of Poros in 1,5 hour. There are also ferry schedules from Astakos of Etoloakarnania, that reach the island in 2, 5 hours.
During the summer months, there are frequent ferry itineraries to Printezi of Italy and less frequent ones to Venice, Ancona and Bari.
